Scenario: Need a secure Access web database accessible and editable by people from different nonprofit agencies. Looking at a hosted Sharepoint solution, but I am confused if we need Sharepoint Server 2010 or Sharepoint Enterprise 2010. The Sharepoint Comparison Page (http://sharepoint.microsoft.com/en-us/buy/Pages/Edi...tions-Comparison.aspx) and some of this post says we need Enterprise, but that seems ridiculous! Furthermore, one sharepoint hosting provider said we only needed to have the standard edition and other parts of your post say the same thing. Does this mean that it would use lists? And would the lists still be editable given appropriate permissions via Sharepoint user rights?

Wow, this is NOT easy!
