Our Methodologies and related Principles.

Our primary goal is to ensure customer satisfaction with our software solutions, utilizing consulting patterns and practices that allow us to work in synchrony with our customers.

Your IT and software development teams likely have established methodologies and quality systems in place. In cases where our methods and systems are significantly different, we partner with your teams to seek mutual agreement by mapping traits of one methodology to the other.

We frequently use Microsoft Solution Framework (MSF) for Agile and Microsoft Operation Framework (MOF) for IT, but can readily map to other approaches. MSF best practices can be mapped to Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), and to Agile methods. MOF guidance maps to essential components of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) approach and related ISO standards.

We have come to embrace these five basic principles as a rational foundation for software construction and management:

  • Customer Focus

bluLink Solutions’ business value comes from applying our expertise to help our clients improve their business performance. Our clients' business objectives, mission, values, history, and vision for the future are essential inputs.

  • Iterative Development

We develop work products in frequent, incremental cycles, giving stakeholders access to deliverables early and often throughout the project. This approach maximizes feedback, exposes risks and bugs early, and establishes a development rhythm that contributes to project health and higher product quality.

  • Governance

We work with each client to find the right balance between project governance and software methodology to ensure stakeholders have a clear view of progress, costs, risks, and change.

  • Teamwork

We are on the same team as our customers, and we work to mutual benefit. All team members from customer to contractor are treated with respect and dignity. Frequent and open communications is expected of all team members. All team members share responsibility to achieve quality results.

  • Responsiveness to Change

We strive for continual improvement based on feedback and discovery. Our customers benefit when feedback and discovery yields a better solution, even if it diverges from the original plan.

Our ability to deliver high quality solutions emanates from these five principles, and affords us a solid foundation to help us readily adapt to, and integrate with, our customers' preferred processes.
