The Business Development Manager will sell Blulink’s business productivity consulting services to clients throughout the Pacific Northwest, with the possibility of national reach. The initial account focus will be on selling into Microsoft.  


Diligently works to identify new opportunities and to build and maintain Blulink’s client and partner base in accordance with the company's strategic plans. Initiates contact with potential clients and partners as well as open accounts, negotiates terms, closes deals, engages as necessary throughout project lifecycle, and monitors performance including project closeout stage ensuring client satisfaction remains high and upselling opportunities are captured. 

  • Build our brand and create lasting relationships with prospective clients 

  • Identify key projects and win opportunities 

  • Create and manage client account plans 

  • Self-directed, collaborative team player 

  • 6+ years of sales experience, preferably consulting services with demonstrated success 

  • Strong understanding of business and technology roles, IT terms and skill sets 

  • Excellent ability to build new relationships and set face-to-face meetings with corporate leadership through means of sourcing, cold/warm calling, and email correspondence 

  • The ability to prospect and communicate effectively 

  • Experience working in a Professional Services/Consulting Company preferred 



  • Driving sales initiatives from start to finish, including prospecting, qualifying, and selling in the enterprise field 

  • Developing lead lists, synthesizing data into information across various platforms 

  • Evaluating lead lists and transforming them into prioritized action steps for sales team members 

  • Generating leads by creating, formulating, sorting, reorganizing, or optimizing lead lists 

  • Qualifying potential clients (prospects) and prioritizing them according to various criteria 

  • Cold calling/e-mailing potential clients to open doors and establish Sales 

  • Generating appointments by means of proactive outbound prospecting, event networking and lead management 

  • Researching and hunting down potential leads on the internet and via referral 

  • Identifying prospective buyers and decision-makers within target organizations 

  • Architecting and leading meetings and networking events 

  • Leads business development strategy and collaborates with our solution delivery efforts 

  • Develops presentations, pitches, and proposals for clients, both current and potential 

  • Leads scoping meetings with potential clients 

  • Demonstrates solutions to clients and prospective clients 

  • Integrates client and partner feedback to identify new business opportunities 



  • Excellent communication and business relationship skills 

  • Must be a team player able to work with a variety of disciplines and organizational functions 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Power user of Microsoft Office Suite applications 

  • Proficient in generating proposals, including resource job costing and scheduling 

  • Superior presentation skills 

  • Excellent organization skills 

  • Proven ability to be proactive and aggressive in pursuing business partnerships

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Computer Science or equivalent work experience required 

  • MBA preferred 

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in business development and/or sales required, including significant experience in negotiating and closing deals 

  • Must have front-line experience working with clients in a sales capacity 

  • Successful track record in generating revenue, exceeding annual goals of performance 

  • Experience in a technology consulting environment preferred
